Issue:
Every year Carmel College takes all year 12 students to a week long camp in National Park. The students do lots of activities in subjects such as Biology, History and English. They also tramp the Tongariro crossing (weather permitting). Thorough out the week students and teachers will take photos and videos of the activities. Mrs DiCesare, the camp leader wants you to produce a DVD to commemorate the camp. The DVD will be sold to year 12 students.
Aim:
The students will be able to purchase this DVD to keep all the good memories they had in this camp. The students will be able to access all their photos in this DVD.
Considerations and Restrictions:
· Skills
- Movie maker
-Toast
-Photoshop
We will use movie maker to put the DVD together. In this programme we can edit and put in effects. Toast is the programme we will be using to burn the programme onto the disk. Photoshop is a programme where you edit and layout your DVD. Photoshop is really good at editing, planning and laying all the photos out.
· Budget
- 120 DVD
- 120 Cases
- 120 Printing
The cost of 120 blank DVDs will be $52.50 at the warehouse. The casing will come to $38. The printing will only take up 1 ink cartridge, this will cost $18.99.
· Time
-Gantt Chart (why)
A Gantt chart is a graphical representation of the duration of tasks against the progression of time. We have to manage on how long we would have to spend on each activity.
